Coffee Time

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

It’s coffee time in the lobby for Paul Stubblebine, Michael Winger, Michael Romanowski and Matt Boudreau. One of the rare moments when we were all in the lobby at the same time and not working on something cool.

Location recording event for NARAS

Friday, August 15th, 2008

I got a great opportunity to do a P&E workshop with Lolly Lewis at St. Mark’s Cathedral in San Francisco on June 12th 2008. The event was to help demonstrate micing techniques when recording in an acoustic space. The idea was Lolly’s brainchild, something she had been trying to do for a while now, and I was very honored to be a part of it. We used several different mics and techniques to record a Violin and Viola duo, and then a bluegrass trio. Each performer required different approaches in the same space. Very enlightening for all involved. Lolly and I have different ways we work. It was a good learning experience for me to listen through her ears. Thanks Lolly.
There is a good description of the event on the Grammy site…and a couple of picts as well
